Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 10th European Congress on Telepathology and 4th International Congress on Virtual Microscopy to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania 1-3 July, 2010. The Congress is organized by the National Centre of Pathology, the International Academy of Telepathology, and the EU COST Action “European Telepathology Network“, along with the Lithuanian Society of Pathology, Vilnius University, and other partners.

As many areas of our life, pathology is switching from analogue to digital. Innovations that already transformed radiology and telecommunications are knocking on our door. This is exciting time to be involved. Broad range of topics – from pathology image scanning and analysis to information management and standards to be followed – are to be covered in the Congress. The program will consist of lectures, poster sessions, meetings with industry, discussion sessions with experts, round table discussions. We invite your participation and input to make this event successful.

Vilnius is the historical capital of Lithuania and dates back to the 14th century. Its remarkable Old Town was awarded the status of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The oldest University in Eastern Europe and the friendly atmosphere of the modern city will mesmerize you and leave with unforgettable memories.
